MY WORK
Portrait - LJS - 1983/1984
Well, it's been a long time since I posted any art on the site. A mixture of [day-job] work and a feeling of disillusionment from varoous things including what appears to be a misjudged consideration of some previously posted pieces, together with my growing involvement in the Jethro Tull Board and video works associated with the baord have all conspired to keep me away from here. I've done plenty of drawings and, yes, actually started to tackle a few paintings, but generally haven't felt inclined to post them here, maybe that will change now.
Thanks for all your e-mails, they are much appreciated, and I will get round to responding to those that need a reply, hopefully sooner rather than later.
This one is graphite on heavy cartridge paper, and is a more formal 'old ghost' portrait of previous drawings.[Some may want to check it out....this was originally drawn from life, so no use of imagination here, nor room for misinterpretation, so that will discount a few people who may think it's based on them; just in case they drop by again and jump to the wrong conclusion once again.
As I said, this is a reworking over an old sketch of a former girlfriend that I originally did way back in 1983 or 1984.
