A sketch of no-one in particular, just an exercise in sketching and shading to while away an hour or two while there was nothing else to do...well there was a lot to do, but drawing was of greater interest at the time.
I have just got my hands on the deluxe version of the semi-autobiogrpahical/semi-tribute book about comic artist Dave Stevens called "A Brush with passion". It's a great read and filled to brimming with great artwork. This is loosely based on one of Dave's pieces, which appears as part of a larger drawing in a very rough sketch form.
My original sketch is on lightweight A4 cartridge in graphite pencils.
