Elvgren Copy by Fiona Stephenson
Well, I could bever afford an original Gil Elvgren, so a copy would have to suffice, and a good copy would suffice even better.
This is by Fiona Stephenson a British artist who specialises in 1950's retro pin-up work. It is acrylic on canvas and varnished. This piece is smaller than most of her main works, but even so this original does credit to her talent, it is just simply really nice.
The image probably doesn't do it justice as it was shot on an angle to avoid reflections off the varnished surface and that has probably distorted the image slightly; Still, I'm very happy with it.
