MY WORK
2005 AD
Like "Ferrari" that goes before it, this is a very quick sketch built upon an old drawing from many moons ago. It's based on a friend from my school days and was originally done when we were told to do by our art teacher to skecth another member of our art group. The one of me, was done by my old schoolfriend Tony Pasfield and appears on the "My Friends" pages.
This version is done in gel markers, and may, like "Ferrari", be developed a bit further, since this one and the one called "Ferrari" [based on someone else I knew - see the LynnX Constellation drawing] lead to other drawings such as "1973 revisted in 2005", which amalgamate various characteristics from several people I have known over the years.
The original drawing was over 30 odd years old, but the new sketch has been modified a little to allow for the changes that happen in ones drawing style over the years and the influence of some of the new wave of comic artists that interest me as well as other people.
